Settings
Settings has nine tabs, with a search box at the top to jump straight to any control.
The nine tabs#
- General: launch at login, turn the notch and menu bar on or off, choose which displays show the notch, choose which agents to track, auto-expand on attention, prompt handling (notch or app/CLI), and only the session metadata controls each agent can supply.
- Appearance: expanded and collapsed widths, density, text size up to Ultra, session-list sizing, title weight, 12/24-hour clock, glass depth, opacity, and fade height, metric opacity, what the collapsed pill shows, per-agent avatar colors and per-tool colors, widget size, and System, Light, or Dark for Settings and the menu bar.
- Usage: per-agent gauges, account, headline, collapsed, and menu bar sets, and count-down, plus Cursor's measure and extra bars.
- Notifications: a master toggle plus sound, permission requests, budget alerts for the 5-hour, 7-day, monthly, and daily windows, spend caps for agents that report cost, limit recovery, early-pace, and account-handoff alerts, stuck-session, task-complete, and subagent-complete alerts, quiet hours, and a test button.
- Shortcuts: global hotkeys to toggle the notch or to allow, deny, or always-allow the frontmost prompt, plus recorded shortcuts that launch saved Views.
- Performance: pause the idle animation, hide avatars, tune usage and session-detection refresh timing, and cap the session timeline.
- Doctor: check every agent's hooks, sign-in, and usage, and repair anything that's off.
- License: your license status, a field to activate a key, and a confirmed action to deactivate this Mac before moving the license to another Mac.
- About: check for updates with Sparkle, plus links to the docs, the version log, and acknowledgements.
Global shortcuts#
Global hotkeys work from any app: toggle the notch open and closed, or allow, deny, or always-allow the frontmost prompt without opening AgentPeek at all. Recorded shortcuts can also launch any saved View. Set them all in Settings then Shortcuts.
Updates#
AgentPeek updates through Sparkle from the About tab, and every future update is included with a license. The version log lists what changed in each release.
