01

When it's done, you know

The classic failure mode: Claude Code finished four minutes ago and you're still waiting, or it's been sitting on a question while you assumed it was working. AgentPeek sends a macOS notification when a run completes and when a subagent finishes, with an optional sound. No terminal polling, no glancing at a dock icon, no discovering an idle agent an hour later.

02

When it needs you, the prompt comes to you

Permission notifications fire the moment an agent wants approval, and the notch can auto-expand with the prompt laid out, ready to answer with a keystroke. Stuck-session notifications catch the quieter case: a session that stopped making progress without asking anything. Both work across every agent AgentPeek monitors, from Claude Code and Codex to Cursor, OpenCode, and GitHub Copilot.

03

When usage creeps up, you hear about it early

Budget notifications fire once when your 5-hour, 7-day, monthly, or daily usage crosses the threshold you set (default 80 percent, adjustable from 50 to 100). Daily token budgets, spend caps for Hermes and OpenCode, limit-recovery alerts, early-pace warnings, and account-handoff alerts round it out, so a rate limit interrupts your planning instead of your work.

04

Tuned so you don't turn it off

Every category has its own toggle: permissions, budgets, stuck sessions, completed runs, subagents. Sound is optional per your settings, and quiet hours silence the lot on your schedule. The goal is a notification you act on every time, not a stream you learn to ignore.

Questions, answered.

Install AgentPeek and turn on completed-run notifications in Settings. When a Claude Code turn completes, macOS shows a notification, with an optional sound, and the session result is one glance away in the notch. Subagent completions can notify too.
Yes. Permission notifications can play a sound, and the notch can auto-expand at the same moment with the command or diff laid out, so the prompt is already on screen when you look up.
