Claude Code token usage tracker for Mac.

AgentPeek shows your Claude Code and Codex token usage live in the Mac notch and menu bar, so you never hit a rate limit mid-task.

Track Claude Code token usage in real time

Claude Code and Codex meter your usage across rolling windows, but the numbers live deep in the terminal where they are easy to miss. AgentPeek reads the usage these tools report locally and pins it where you actually look: under the notch, or in the menu bar. You get a running view of how much of your budget is left, updated as you work.

No accounts, no dashboards, no extra setup. Install AgentPeek, launch it once, and your token usage is visible the moment a Claude Code or Codex session starts.

5-hour and 7-day windows at a glance

AgentPeek stacks two usage bars per agent so you can plan short bursts and long runs at the same time:

5-hour window

Your short-term budget, with a resets-in countdown so you know exactly when capacity comes back.

7-day window

Your longer-term budget, with the day and time it refills so you can pace heavy weeks.

When a value is stale or unavailable, the bar shows a clear placeholder instead of a wrong number, and you can refresh usage manually. Everything is read locally from what Claude Code and Codex already report.

Budget alerts before you run out

Set a threshold and AgentPeek tells you when usage crosses it. Budget notifications fire for both the 5-hour and 7-day windows at a level you choose (anywhere from 50% to 100%), so a long refactor or a batch of parallel sessions does not stall at the worst moment. You decide where the line is; AgentPeek watches it for you.

Why a token tracker in the notch?

The Mac notch is the most glanceable real estate on the screen. Putting usage there means you keep coding while a quiet gauge tells you how much budget is left, instead of breaking flow to run a command and parse output. The collapsed pill can show live usage gauges; the expanded panel shows the full per-agent breakdown. Prefer the menu bar? The same usage summary runs there too.

Works for Claude Code and Codex

AgentPeek tracks token usage for both Claude Code from Anthropic and Codex from OpenAI. Run several sessions at once and each one carries its own usage bars, so you can see which agent is eating your budget. Learn how the wider session view works on the session monitor page, or read the full setup in the docs.
